This Local Area Traffic Management (LATM) project has been granted funding through the Safer Local Roads and Streets Program (SLRSP).

Treatments

Speed reducing treatments through the area include:

  • removal of the slow point at the intersection of Marcia Avenue and Tasman Drive and replacement with a raised safety platform,
  • raised safety platforms (RSPs) and associated lighting changes,
  • pedestrian crossing facilities, and
  • pedestrian footpath facilities.

These treatments will address the intersection congestion, high vehicle speeds, lack of pedestrian facilities.

The treatments have been distributed throughout the Marcia Avenue and Tasman Drive area:

  • Tasman Drive: one slow point removed, three new RSPs, pedestrian crossing facilities
  • Marcia Avenue: one new RSP, connecting footpath facilities

Designs

Detail design plans (Design Marcia Avenue(PDF, 19MB)), and the treatments will be delivered mid-2026.
