Stretching over 6km along Port Phillip Bay, the Mount Eliza Foreshore features six peaceful beaches — from Daveys Bay in the north to Sunnyside Beach in the south. The coastline’s striking headlands and unique geology create a series of sheltered and sandy beaches. Several creeks flow into the bay here, connecting the land to the sea.
This area is home to important native coastal vegetation, including Coastal Headland Scrub, Coast Banksia Woodland, and freshwater wetlands. These habitats support a wide variety of wildlife. The coastal environment also provides a haven for marine life such as fish, dolphins, and seabirds.
