Dog owners and their four-legged friends can now enjoy a new fenced dog park at Truemans Road Reserve in Capel Sound.
The newly completed dog park provides a dedicated space for dogs to exercise and socialise off their lead in a safe, purpose-built environment.
Located at 113–119 Truemans Road, the dog park is fully fenced and includes secure gates.
The park features a wide path providing access to those with prams and mobility vehicles, seating along the path and landscaping designed to make the space more welcoming and enjoyable for dogs, dog owners and visitors.
The new dog park complements the broader facilities at Truemans Road Reserve, which is a well-used recreation reserve featuring sporting facilities, public toilets and play space.
Mornington Peninsula Shire Mayor Cr Stephen Batty said the new dog park is a welcome addition for local dog owners and the wider community.
“We know how important open space is for our community, including residents with dogs. This new dog park gives dog owners in Capel Sound and surrounding areas a dedicated place to exercise their pets safely and responsibly.
“The design has been carefully considered, with secure access points, seating and a walking path to make the space practical, welcoming and enjoyable for both dogs, their owners and others using the reserve,” Cr Batty said.
