Mediation has now begun. Dan Star KC has been appointed as mediator.
The Board of Inquiry report into the McCrae Landslide recommended that an experienced mediator engage in a structured process with the Shire, SEW, affected landowners and any other necessary parties, with a view to reaching agreement in relation to appropriate landslide mitigation and remediation works at and around the site of the McCrae Landslide.
The Shire supports this recommendation and is currently engaged in the mediation process.
