The Shire is committed to tackling climate change, and we know our community shares our determination.
The Climate Resilience Plan Advisory Committee supports the development of Council’s upcoming Climate Resilience Plan. This group brings together a diverse range of community members to provide input into our climate change initiatives. Previously known as the Climate Emergency Community Reference Group, the committee was renamed in June 2026 to reflect its updated focus.
Members were selected through a competitive expression of interest process and represent a highly skilled cross-section of the local community. They contribute valuable insights on local climate issues and help shape practical solutions for both now and the future.
The committee will meet over the coming months to assist in developing the Climate Resilience Plan.
