Meals on Wheels

Council has made the decision to transition out of delivering aged care services 30 June 2027, in line with Australian Government reforms to the aged care sector. These changes aim to support residents with more control and access to a range of specialist providers. Council will continue to provide Meals on Wheels services under the Commonwealth Home Support Program during this transition period. More information can be found here.

The Shire’s Meals on Wheels program delivers nutritious, well‑balanced meals directly to clients in their own homes.

As part of the service, trained volunteers provide face‑to‑face contact when delivering meals, offering both support and a friendly check‑in.

The program is designed to support the health, wellbeing and independence of residents by ensuring they receive regular, nutritious meals. Each delivery offers more than just a meal — it provides social connection, reassurance and a valued point of contact each day.
